Safeway spent $630K lobbying in Q2
Washington, D.C. Safeway spent $630,000 in the second quarter to lobby on grocery store issues, according to a recent disclosure report.
The company lobbied on legislation involving food safety, healthcare reform, organized retail crime and other matters, according to the report filed July 20 with the House Clerk's Office.
Besides Congress, Safeway lobbied the Treasury Department and the White House during the April-June period.
