Safeway spent $350K lobbying government in Q1
Washington, D.C. Safeway spent $350,000 in the first quarter to lobby on grocery store issues.
The company lobbied on legislation involving food safety, healthcare reform, organized retail crime and other matters, according to the report filed April 20 with the House Clerk's office.
Besides Congress, Safeway lobbied the departments of Health and Human Services and Treasury during the January to March period.
