Safeway promotes local produce

Safeway is joining Undersecretary of California Food and Agriculture Will Brown and representatives from some of the most respected farms in the region to distribute samples of locally grown produce to urge consumers to buy local produce and support the local and state economy.

On June 11 at the Safeway Natomas Store in Sacramento, Calif., visitors to the store will be able to sample local products and learn about their benefits to the community.
