Roots adds task-management solution

Toronto Roots Canada is preparing to install an integrated store communication and task-management solution to manage operations across its 120 retail stores in North America.

The chain will use Store Ops-Center from Toronto-based Opterus, to improve its enterprise communications and task execution, processes that are often sidelined by paper-based checklists, faxes and e-mails. 

"The solution enables the entire retail team, both store-level associates and executives at the corporate office, to be very clear on expectations and strategies, and ensures they are executed in a timely and consistent manner," says Jarar Kazmi, executive director, retail operations, Roots.

Outfitted with the new solution, Roots is primed to boost store productivity by 20% through more effective communication of tasks and internal issues.
