Rite Aid, WellPoint team up

CAMP HILL, Pa. Rite Aid has teamed up with health benefits company WellPoint to make health care more accessible to seniors and other Medicare eligible individuals during the Medicare open enrollment period.

Through the alliance, printed materials will be available at Rite Aid stores nationwide to help inform seniors about WellPoint's Medicare Part D plans.

During the enrolment period, which lasts through to December 31, agents from WellPoint affiliated companies will be in select stores to answer questions and explain benefit options.

"Rite Aid is committed to making sure our senior patients are fully educated and understand the Medicare prescription drug benefit, and our alliance with WellPoint will help our senior patients determine the best Medicare Part D plan for their prescription needs."
