Rite Aid spent less than $15K lobbying in Q2
Washington, D.C. Rite Aid Corp. spent less than $15,000 on lobbying in the second quarter, according to recent disclosure forms.
The Camp Hill, Pa.-based company spent less than $5,000 on its internal lobbying, but paid DLA Piper $10,000 to lobby on legislation affecting retail pharmacies.
Rite Aid spent about $560,000 to lobby the government in 2008, including $180,000 in the second quarter. The company is working to reduce its debts of almost $6 billion by closing stores and cutting spending, and recently refinanced most of its short-term debt.
