3/25/2010

New York City Drug store chain Rite Aid Corp. said it spent less than $5,000 on lobbying in the fourth quarter as it curtailed its activity with the government.

The chain reported less than $5,000 in lobbying spending in each quarter of 2009. It disclosed $120,000 in spending in fourth quarter 2008 alone.

Rite Aid runs about 4,780 stores but is struggling with billions in debt.
