Rite Aid Shows Modest Sales
Camp Hill, Pa. For the first eight weeks of its 2008 fiscal year, Rite Aid announced that its same-store sales increased 1.6% with a 1.4% uptake in pharmacy same-store sales and a 1.9% increase in front-end same-store sales.
Total sales, which were buffeted by the acquisition of Brooks Eckerd stores in June 2007, increased 48.8% to $4.047 billion from $2.719 billion in the same period last year. The acquired stores are excluded from same-store sales results.
