4/8/2008

Camp Hill, Pa. Rite Aid Corp. announced Tuesday that it has joined forces with Columbia, Md.-based MedStar Health and Consumer Health Services, Inc., to debut walk-in health clinics at select Rite Aid stores.

The concept, to be called MedStar PromptCare, will offer health-care services without an appointment. It will be introduced in four Baltimore and Washington, D.C., locations.

The clinics will treat basic ailments and minor injuries, and also offer preventive services. Regional hospital MedStar Health will provide access to specialty and acute medical follow-up services.

The four clinics are slated to open this summer.
