Rite Aid now accepting PayPass payments

9/10/2008

Purchase, N.Y. Rite Aid is now accepting MasterCard PayPass contactless payments at 3,800 of its nearly 5,000 stores across the country.

Customers can use their PayPass cards to make purchases by tapping them on a PayPass reader at the check-out counter. The service also eliminates the need for customers to sign receipts for purchases under $25.

"Our number one priority is our customers, and we are committed to providing them with unparalleled service and convenience," said Don Davis, Rite Aid senior vp and cio. "By accepting contactless payment technology, we're able to provide our customers with a fast and convenient way to pay for their everyday purchases, enhancing their overall shopping experience."
