Rite Aid introduces mobile text alerts for prescriptions

9/21/2010

Camp Hill, Pa. Rite Aid has introduced automatic mobile text alerts to let customers know when their prescriptions are ready and for refill and pick-up reminders. Patients now have the option to receive such messages by text, email or automated phone call.

Customers who "opt in" to the pharmacy alerts system by signing up for the service online also can be notified if there are any issues encountered after they've dropped off their prescription.

The addition of text messaging to Rite Aid's pharmacy alerts program is powered by Sybase 365, a leader in mobile messaging and mobile commerce services.
