Rite Aid Appoints COO

Camp Hill, Pa., James Mastrian has been tapped to be Rite Aid’s new chief operating officer, the company announced earlier today.

Mastrian had been the pharmacy chain’s executive VP of marketing, logistics and pharmacy services since November 2002.

Rite Aid hasn’t had a COO since Mary Sammons vacated that position in 2003 to become president and CEO.
