Rita’s Ice enters NYC

Trevose, Pa. Rita’s Italian Ice said Friday that it will enter the New York City market. The chain has signed an agreement to open three stores in Manhattan.

Besides hoping this entry into New York City will open up more opportunity across the market, Rita’s chairman and CEO Jim Rudolph said the move supports the company’s aggressive growth plan.

The chain currently operates more than 550 locations across 18 states.
