Retailers use social media to advertise deals
New York City Consumers will have the option to check out pre-Black Friday deals on Facebook and Twitter before heading to the mall the day after Thanksgiving, according to published reports.
Hundreds of deals already are being advertised for Black Friday by retailers as diverse as OfficeMax and Old Navy.
Staples this week used social media to advertise price cuts of nearly 50% for Nov. 27 on certain laptops, GPS devices and computer monitors, and still other merchants are expected to follow suit.
