Retail Theft Ring Caught and Sentenced
Washington, D.C., The ringleader of a group of thieves that victimized Marshalls stores in six states has been sentenced to more than nine years in prison.
The Baltimore man led a band of thieves who stole expensive men’s suits from Marshalls department stores and later returned them for cash, bilking the stores out of $274,000. Another ringleader and six other participants have been sentenced to two years in prison, and a ninth defendant is a fugitive.
