Restoration Hardware gives Cass nod for freight audit/payment services
St. Louis Restoration Hardware said Wednesday it has selected Cass Information Systems to provide freight audit and payment services to the home furnishings retailer.
Cass, a provider of enterprise-wide expense management services, will provide a complete freight audit and payment solution in which Cass will pay carriers electronically, provide automated General Ledger coding and manage carrier inquiries and disputes.
Using automated processes, Cass will capture data regarding accessorial charges. Data from invoices and supporting documentation feeds a data warehouse allowing Restoration Hardware to analyze all aspects of its transportation costs.
“In retail, understanding landed costs is vital to profitability,” said Glenn Berger, VP global transportation for Restoration Hardware. “Cass’ system will give us an accurate window into our true delivery costs, which will help us make more accurate and informed pricing and product decisions.”
Restoration Hardware owns and operates 107 stores in the United States and Canada.
