A month after revealing excessive
digital orders caused in-store congestion and canceled orders, Starbucks has come up with a solution.
To support both its mobile ordering users, as well as its in-store guests, Starbucks will add new pick-up stations dedicated to mobile orders — and separate from existing registers,
GeekWire reported.
In the report, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz said, “The good news is, the technology has been embraced, but the challenge has been, it’s been so wildly successful that, in many stores, it’s created congestion in the morning that we are in the process of fixing.”
