Report: Luxottica to revive Google Glass

Milan, Italy – Google Glass may not be dead, after all. According to the Wall Street Journal, global vertical eyewear retailer Luxottica Group is partnering with Google to release a new version of Google Glass in the near future.



The new version of the connected eyewear device will have improved sound, visual display and aesthetics, and also have longer battery life and a lower price. Google never officially killed the Google Glass project, but quietly ended support and marketing for the original version of the device in January 2015 after poor sales and negative publicity, including concerns about potential for invasion of privacy.
