New York City Harris Teeter is a potential bidder for Ukrop’s Super Markets of Virginia, according to a report from the publishers of Food World and Food Trade News.

Best-Met Publishing Online says Richmond, Va.-based Ukrop is looking to sell its 28 stores. The report cites industry sources who say a prospectus has been issued detailing store data and seeking a potential sale.
