Apple’s App Store has been awash in recent weeks with hundreds of fake retail and product apps, the
New York Times reported.
The counterfeiters have masqueraded as such retail chains as Dollar Tree, Foot Locker, and Nordstrom, as well as online product bazaars like Zappos.com and Polyvore, and luxury-goods makers like Jimmy Choo, Christian Dior and Salvatore Ferragamo, according to the report.
