Report: Canadian retailers should work harder to attract ethnic customers

Toronto, Canada A report released late Monday by CIBC World Markets, and published in The Star.com, Toronto, estimates that up to 70% of retail sales growth in Canada will likely come from “visible minorities,” and that retailers there should work harder to appeal to the ethnic consumer base.

“Retailers and consumer companies who neglect these populations upon their arrival are leaving a significant opportunity on the table,” the report noted.
