Report: British consumers unhappy with self-service checkouts

London Self-service checkout units are expanding throughout the United Kingdom, but 48% of British consumers said they were unhappy using them, according to a BBC report.

While 46% of those surveyed said items didn’t scan properly, about 39% griped they couldn’t use their own bags, and 12% complained they always had to ask for staff assistance.
