Report: Blockbuster to cut some exec positions
Dallas Blockbuster is cutting small number of positions as part of a corporate realignment, but didn’t elaborate on how many jobs were lost, according to the Dallas Business Journal.
The company said the move is a “realignment of resources at corporate headquarters and distribution center in McKinney,” the report said.
Blockbuster did not offer a breakdown of positions that would be affected, but did say that a small number of senior-level positions would be eliminated.
The company has been closing stores and adding kiosks through a joint venture with NCR Corp., but it has been losing market share to Netflix and Redbox as it tries to transition its business.
