Report: Best Buy delays U.K. launch
LONDON Best Buy has pushed back its U.K. launch until spring 2010. According to reports, the company decided to delay the launch to take advantage of lower property prices, among other reasons.
Speaking at the Retail Week conference, Bob Willett, head of Best Buy International, reportedly told the crowd that the company was better positioned to wait, as the company would be competiting against some heavy hitters, including Tesco.
Originally, Best Buy planned to open in the United Kingdom this summer.
