Report: Aldi to Enter Big Apple

New York City Aldi plans to open more than 75 stores in 2009, including its first location in New York City, according to Supermarket News.

Aldi declined to identify a specific location for the New York City store but the chain said it would be among four to six new locations coming to eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York this year, the report said.
