Rent-A-Center selects returns-forecasting solution

Atlanta Rent-A-Center has implemented a returns-forecasting solution from Predictix in several hundred stores and plans to continue to roll it out across the retailer’s chain of nearly 3,000 stores nationwide. This is a part of a larger initiative to enhance and centralize how the company purchases and distributes inventory to each store.

Prior to working with Predictix, Rent-A-Center wanted better inventory visibility in its stores, particularly for returned goods. Without this transparency, the company did not always have the right merchandise in the right locations, affecting its customer service and margins alike.

The centralized returns forecasting solution from Predictix gives Rent-A-Center a view into returns and informs executives how much new inventory is needed to distribute to each store.

“By integrating Predictix with our existing enterprise systems, we can improve our overall decision-making capabilities and replenishment processes, which is a win-win for Rent-A-Center and for our customers,” said Joel Mussat, VP strategic planning for Rent-A-Center.
