REI appoints new board member

SEATTLE Outdoor retailer Recreational Equipment Inc. today announced the appointment of Jesse King to a one-year term to the company's board of directors.

Aconsultant in the arenas of leadership, organizational development and philanthropy, King has assisted numerous corporate, government, and non-profit leaders with projects ranging from strategic planning, to operational reorganization, including capacity assessments, and organizational cultural projects. He is presently a founding partner and managing director of Fulcrum Advisors, a privately held consulting firm supporting philanthropic activity and leadership development. He also works as an adjunct trainer with the federal government's Office of Personnel Management and as adjunct staff for the Center for Creative Leadership.
