REI adds free-shipping promo for members

Kent, Wash. REI said Monday that is has begun offering free standard shipping to members for Internet and phone orders of $75 or more, according to a report by the Seattle Times.

Based on the cooperative's 2009 financial results, patronage refunds totaling more than $80 million recently were distributed to 3.9 million active members.
