RadioShack gets new merchandise head

FORT WORTH, Texas RadioShack has appointed Peter Whitsett as evp and general merchandise manager. Whitsett will lead merchandising, product development and allocation at RadioShack and will report to Julian Day, ceo.

Whitsett most recently served as senior vp and chief merchant for Kmart retail at Sears Holdings.
