QVC to streamline distribution processes with Manhattan Associates
Atlanta QVC, which over the past 23 years has shipped more than 1 billion packages in the United States alone, has selected Manhattan Associates' warehouse-management and labor-management solutions for its distribution center in Florence, S.C. The company plans to roll out the system in its other domestic DCs in Lancaster, Pa.; Rocky Mount, N.C.; and Suffolk, Va.
"Manhattan Associates will play a key role in our continuing IT transformation," said John Sullivan, executive VP and CIO, QVC. "Streamlining our distribution processes with the Manhattan platform will enable QVC to expand its distribution capacity and reach new fulfillment levels across every selling channel."
Manhattan's warehouse-management and labor-management solutions are part of the Distribution Management solution suite within the Manhattan Scope supply chain process platform, designed to leverage the spectrum of people, tasks and events across the supply chain for the most efficient and accurate performance possible. Scope's modular service-oriented architecture facilitates the creation of cross-suite applications to address specific requirements for the goals of each Manhattan customer, the company said.
