The store has a modern, streamlined, no-fuss look. It is based on a modular fixture concept that encourages flexibility, reuse and smart mass-production. All the fixtures are self-contained and mobile, with wheels, allowing them to be moved and/or reused as needed. The use of mobile fitting rooms also reduced construction materials since no permanent walls needed to be built to accommodate them.

With energy optimization a critical factor in sustainability, the store features an LED lighting application that alternates the fixtures at a forty-five degree angle to maximize the amount of lighting per square foot. The solution decreased energy usage by 40%, compared to standard retail environments.

The materials, which include rapidly renewable bamboo, recycled metals, and FSC-certified wood, all contribute to the store’s sustainability, as does the use of GreenGuard certified furniture, EnergyStar rated equipment and low-flow plumbing fixtures.

Puma at Destiny Mall is one of only 17 retail spaces in the United States to be certified LEED Platinum under the interior design and construction retail category.
