Pro’s Ranch Markets adds price-management software
Ontario, Calif. Pro’s Ranch Markets completed the installation of Retalix HQ price-management software.
The software, from Dallas-based Retalix, allows the grocer to standardize pricing and consistently execute its price strategy across its 11 stores. Further, Retail HQ helped the company transition toward a centralized pricing system. “By automating the process, we have a much higher level of confidence in our pricing integrity and efficiency,” said Jeff Provenzano, VP information technology, Pro’s Ranch Markets.
Pro’s Ranch Markets expects the process to be successful because the software is integrated with its ISS45 point-of-sale system, from Retalix subsidiary StoreNext Retail Technologies. This allows the grocer to communicate price changes from its head office to more than 350 POS terminals across the organization.
The addition of the price-management software was a natural transition for Pro’s Ranch Markets, a long-time user of Retalix software. The chain uses Retalix Category Analyzer to track item movement and Retalix Bill Back Manager to monitor earned promotional dollars from suppliers. The company also plans to use Retalix Store, an application that manages back-door receiving, chainwide by the summer.
