Profit amplifier adds IT exec to board

11/12/2013

Veteran information technology executive Joe Zucchero has joined the board of advisors at big data solutions provider Profitect.

Profitect said Zucchero’s expertise in IT operations, cross-organizational implementation, and an understanding of the technology needs of the retail industry aligned perfectly with the company’s suite of solutions.

"Profitect's software is taking big data to the next level. It is the brass ring for retail," Zucchero said. "With the increase in big data, retailers don't know how to makes sense of the enormous amounts of data. Getting timely, detailed, and guided actions from the Profitect system allows retailers to have an active response to big data."

Zucchero has 33 years of experience in IT operations, strategy, and execution in the automotive and retail sectors focused on leveraging technology to drive organizational growth, performance, profitability, and expanding intellectual property capital, according to a Profitect statement. He has been responsible for implementing large scale ERP, supply chain management, point of sale, warehouse, and distribution systems at retailers like CARQUEST. He is also a recognized expert in rescuing large-scale programs and projects that have spiraled out of control.

"We are so fortunate to have such a distinguished group of industry leaders on the Profitect Board of Advisors. They are very engaged in the strategy and direction of our company, and we are honored to have Joe join our board," said Guy Yehiav, CEO of Profitect. "His experience in IT and project implementation will bring a new voice to the table, helping us scale through new channels.”

Profitect's profit amplification software is a pattern-seeking solution that enables retailers to quickly realize increased revenue and reduced costs across the entire retail supply chain, according to the company. Profit Amplification pattern-seeking algorithms can "tell a story" by identifying the root cause of anomalies such as inventory distortion, on-shelf availability, shrink/waste/damage, or process non-compliance – helping retailers minimize the effort necessary to identify controllable factors, which the solution translates into action. The result, according to Profitect, is that retailers can move quickly to prevent profit leakage at all levels of the organization, ultimately improving business processes and the top and bottom line.
