PriceSmart Same-Store Sales Up 19% in August

San Diego Warehouse club operator PriceSmart Inc. said Monday that its same-store sales rose more than 19% in August.

Net sales climbed more than 31% to $99 million, up from $75.5 million last August, as the company added two stores to its roster of facilities in the Caribbean and Central America.

For the 12 months ending Aug. 31, sales climbed 26.3% to $1.1 billion, up from $869.1 million during the same period last year.

Meanwhile, same-store sales rose 20.1% during the past 52-week period.
