Off-price retailer to expand overtime pay despite judge’s block

The TJX Companies isn’t letting a federal judge’s decision to block the Obama administration rule expanding overtime pay get in the way of its plans to comply with the rule.



“At TJX, we attribute our success primarily to the people we have hired over many years who remain focused on our mission of delivering amazing values to consumers,” company spokeswoman Doreen Thompson wrote in an email to Boston Business Journal. “With this in mind, TJX will move forward as planned in implementing the changes outlined in Department of Labor's new rules.”
