Polaroid Fotobar has opened a flagship at The Linq, a new, pedestrian-friendly shopping street in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. The two-level, 8,500-sq.-ft. space — part retail, part museum — celebrates the storied history of Polaroid while also tapping into consumers’ love of digital photos.

The first floor is dedicated to the Fotobar retail concept, which is designed to give consumers easy access to reproduce digital photos, and create framed art and gifts created from the snapshots. Employees, called Fototenders, are available to help customers turn their favorite photos into an extensive selection of custom and unique photo products from a variety of materials including canvas, stone, metal, bamboo and more. Visitors can also print their photos in three different sizes that feature the exclusive Polaroid Classic Border Logo format.

The store’s second level is home to the Polaroid Museum, which immerses guests in the rich history of the 75-year-old brand. The museum celebrates the work of artists, including Andy Warhol, who caused waves in the world through the creative use of Polaroid cameras. Their works are featured alongside a 20x24 Polaroid camera; a history on Polaroid founder Edwin Land; and a collection of rare Polaroid artifacts, art and advertising. The space is open and bright, with the white walls accented with Polaroids of celebrities.

In addition, the museum houses the first permanent mobile photography installation, composed entirely of photographs sent in by the Instagram community. The space is also available for corporate events and private functions.

This is Polaroid Fotobar’s fourth location to date, with the others located throughout Florida.
