Pier 1 Q2 same-store sales up 11.2%

Fort Worth, Texas Pier 1 Imports said Thursday its total sales for the quarter ended Aug. 28 rose to $310 million, from $287 million in the year-ago quarter.

Same-store sales rose 11.2% in the quarter.

“We continue to see strengths in all parts of the country and in all merchandise categories -- with improvements in traffic, conversion and ticket," said CEO Alex W. Smith.
