Pier 1 fires marketing head

FORT WORTH, Texas According to an SEC filing last week, Pier 1 Imports has ended the employment of Phil Schneider, evp of marketing for the company. The company is seeking a replacement to fill the position.

Schneider has served as evp of marketing since April 2002. Prior to that he was senior vp of marketing for the company from May 1993 to April 2002.
