PetSmart same-store sales rise 2.6%

Phoenix – Same-store sales rose 2.6% at PetSmart Inc. during the fourth quarter of fiscal 2014. Average ticket increased 2%, and same-store transactions increased 0.6%.



In addition, based on preliminary results, PetSmart expects to meet or exceed previously issued guidance for the quarter of between $1.34 and $1.38 per share on a non-GAAP adjusted diluted earnings per share basis. The company will hold a special meeting of shareholders to vote on a previously announced agreement to be acquired by a consortium led by BC Partners Inc. at a cash price of $83 per share, on March 6, 2015.
