PBteen unveils first-ever collection with a celeb stylist, designer

9/20/2013

PBteen has unveiled an inaugural collaboration with celebrity stylists and fashion designers Emily Current and Meritt Elliott. The exclusive, one-of-a-kind collection is the first collaboration of its kind for PBteen and represents Current’s and Elliott’s debut into the world of interiors and home furnishings.

The Emily & Meritt for PBteen collaboration blends denim with touches of silver, gold and vintage-inspired glamor. The collection consists of more than 37 products across seven key categories and includes bedding, furniture, lighting, wall décor, decorative accessories and jewelry storage.

“Emily & Meritt are true style authorities,” said Sandra Stangl, president, Pottery Barn Brands. “We’ve had so much fun exploring a new aesthetic with them. They have inspired us to look at teen design and home furnishings with a new sense of energy. PBteen is proud of the collection results, a fantastic and sophisticated look for the brand that will surely delight our customers.”

“We've always admired Pottery Barn as a great American brand, and were thrilled to collaborate with PBteen in our first foray into home,” said Current and Elliott. “We loved applying our unique worldview — charming Americana — to this project, and equally appreciated PBteen's inspired process and celebration of personal style.”

The Emily & Meritt for PBteen collection features the Denim Chaise — a traditional piece of furniture upholstered in relaxed, casual denim. Other highlights include the Butterfly Duvet & Sham, the novel Bunny Alarm Clock and the Needlepoint Icon Pillows. The Emily & Meritt for PBteen Collection ranges from $29 to $799.

Emily Current and Meritt Elliott are a Los Angeles-based duo known for “whimsical and timeless sensibility that recalls classic Americana” who have worked together for more than a decade.

PBteen is a member of the Williams-Sonoma portfolio of brands launched in 2003. It describes itself as the first home retailer to focus exclusively on the teenage market. Categories include: bedding, window treatments, rugs, lighting, gear, decorative accessories, storage and organization solutions and furniture including beanbag chairs.
