The pause that refreshes ... at Disney Springs

8/8/2016

Another high-profile retail attraction has opened at Disney Springs, Walt Disney World Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

The Coca-Cola store is designed to offer customers an immersive brand experience. Modeled after a 1920s Coca-Cola bottling plant, the store celebrates the history of the brand, starting on the exterior where the glass-accented entry pays tribute to the iconic Coke green glass bottle.

Interior highlights include a 30-foot-wide blown-glass chandelier crafted from repurposed Coke bottles. A rooftop bar serves up a variety of beverages, including Coca-Cola brands from around the world. Specialty adult drinks are available in the evening. And come August, visitors will be able to “share a moment” with the famous Coca-Cola polar bear, the company said.

The store – one of three retail locations operated by the Coca-Cola Company in the United States – features a broad assortment of branded merchandise. A line of sustainable fashion apparel and other handmade items crafted from recycled materials showcase the 5by20 collection – an array of items created by women artisans from around the world.

The Coca-Cola Store is located in Disney Springs’ main retail and entertainment section, called Town Center (formerly Downtown Disney.) Other tenants include Sephora, Anthropologie, Kipling, Superdry, Under Armour and the first-ever Trophy Room. Founded by Marcus Jordan, son of NBA legend Michael Jordan, the store offers an athletic boutique experience inspired by the trophy room in the Jordan family estate.
