Park City Group appoints John Merrill new cfo
PARK CITY, Utah Park City Group, a leading provider of patented inventory and labor optimization software solutions for retailers, announced today the appointment of financial industry veteran John Merrill to the position of cfo. Merrill will report to chairman and ceo Randall K. Fields.
Merrill will assume responsibilities for all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, regulatory, and treasury functions for Park City Group. He will also assume the role of treasurer concurrently to his appointment as cfo.
Merrill joined Park City Group in 2006 as its' director of finance, accounting & administration and helped bring about an increase in both financial and operational efficiencies in the areas of cost control, financial management, strategic initiatives that have enhanced operational decision-making, and implementation of scaled expansion of PCG's IT and corporate facilities infrastructure.
Merrill has over 17 years of experience in the public and private financial and accounting sectors. He was previously the cfo for Peak Solutions Group, and from 1998 to 2003 served as regional controller for Clear Channel Communications. Throughout his career, Merrill has had significant exposure to various sectors of both sporting goods retail and service industries.
