Pantry to shave portfolio, sell off 80 sites

Cary, N.C. C-store operator The Pantry said Tuesday it plans to sell off about 80 stores in coming months following a recent review of its store portfolio.

According to the company’s CFO Frank Paci, “We’ve determined that certain stores do not fit with our current strategic plan. As a result, we expect to offer these assets for sale to independent operators.”

The company operates 1,647 stores in 11 states.
