The Pantry posts loss in Q2
Cary, N.C. The Pantry announced Tuesday it recorded a net loss for the second quarter ended March 25 of $166.1 million.
The results included non-cash impairment and other non-cash charges. Adjusted results for the quarter were a loss of $6,000, compared with a profit of $3.8 million a year ago.
Revenues increased 5.1% overall and 3.6% on a comp-store basis from the year-ago period.
The convenience store chain operates 1,647 stores in 11 states mainly under the banner Kangaroo Express.
