PacSun Jan. sales down 3.7%

ANAHEIM, Calif. Pacific Sunwear of California today reported that total company sales for the four weeks ended Feb. 2 were $66.3 million, a decrease of 3.7% over total sales of $68.9 million last year.

Total company same-store sales decreased 7.4% during the January period.

For the fourth quarter 2007, the company reported that total sales were $421.8 million, a slight increase over total sales of $419 million for the same period last year.

Comparable-store sales for the fourth quarter decreased 2.2%

The Company now expects fourth quarter GAAP earnings to be 13 cents to 16 cents per diluted share.
