Pacific Sunwear sees strong sales in August

ANAHEIM, Calif. Pacific Sunwear of California reported that total sales for the four weeks ended Sept. 1 were $181.6 million, an increase of 13.6% over total sales of $159.9 million during the same four week period ended Sept. 2, 2006. Total company same-store sales increased 9.6% during the same period.

Total sales for the first 30 weeks of fiscal 2007 ended Sept. 1 were $833.1 million, an increase of 6.7% over total sales of $780.9 million during the same 30-week period ended Sept. 2, 2006. Total company same-store sales increased 2.2% during the same period.
