Overstock to introduce clothes donation program

8/5/2014

Online retailer Overstock.com is launching a partnership with nonprofit Give Back Box to make donating used clothes easier for its customers.

Soon, customers who order products from Overstock.com will be able to use an enclosed Give Back Box shipping label to send their used clothes to nonprofits nationwide.

“Our culture at Overstock is focused around doing the right thing and giving back to the community,” Overstock president Stormy Simon said. “The partnership with Give Back Box is an opportunity to assist our customers in doing just that. Buy a fashionable new dress on Overstock and send an older one from your closet to someone in need.”

In addition to the Give Back Box shipping label Overstock boxes will include requests to support other social and environmental programs.

“Through this partnership we can encourage millions of customers to donate in a way that's convenient for them,” added Simon. “It's too easy not to participate.”
