Oracle announces 300% performance gains on ATG Web Commerce

Redwood Shores, Calif. -- Oracle announced that it has taken another step toward helping companies handle peak online volumes of traffic and transactions with the news that its ATG Web Commerce platform has improved performance by 300% on Oracle Exalogic and the Oracle Exadata database machine when compared with systems similar in size and configuration.



The performance gains were achieved during multiple benchmarking tests.



Oracle’s ATG Web Commerce platform has been certified and optimized to run on Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud datacenter hardware and software and Oracle Exadata Database Machine, a database machine designed to provide extreme performance for data warehousing and online transaction processing (OLTP) applications.

The certification and optimization of ATG Web Commerce for Oracle Exalogic provides retailers, and other consumer-centric businesses with an ideal e-commerce platform to enable the extreme scalability and performance required to support multiple channels, such as web sites, mobile applications, social commerce and in-store transactions, Oracle said.
