Amazon is impacting its hometown of Seattle in ways large and small.
Most recently, the city added additional buses on a route that runs between the University District to downtown via Amazon’s headquarters, reported
The Seattle Times. The extra buses are needed to accommodate the 900-plus summer interns hired by Amazon that will be living in University of Washington dorms and apartments this summer, according to the report. The interns living in the University of Washington facilities represent only a portion of the total number of summer interns that Amazon is hiring.
