Toms Shoes is expanding its fledgling store portfolio, and will open a location at Mall of America, Bloomington, Minnesota, in time for holiday shoppers.
Founded in 2006, Toms matches every shoe purchase with a donation to a child in need, and gives glasses, medical treatment and/or sight-saving surgery with each purchase of eyewear.
Toms is the latest retailer announced as part of the megamall’s recent north side expansion. The nearly 2,000-sq.-ft. store will be located across from Zara, which will also open later this year. Also in the works: a 10,000-sq.-ft. Anthropologie.
Toms will offering shoes, eyewear and apparel for men and women, as well as bags, coffee and accessories.
The company, which also sells its products in department stores and specialty stores nationwide, currently operates six freestanding stores, with two locations in Los Angeles, and one each in Portland, Oregon; Austin, Texas; Chicago; and New York City.
